Our Music Director


Kelly Crandell is a published composer, degreed flutist and conductor, and brings more than 20 years of experience to his work praising God through music as a keyboardist, singer, and music director, Kelly has been professor of music at Rutgers and Montclair State universities in opera and piano departments and has been a vocal coach for such artists as Frederica von Stade and Laura Claycomb.

As a composer, he has won several competitions, including Chanticleer’s Young Composer competition and Hymnia’s Waterworks competition.  He received a commission from the San Francisco Symphony and Chorus, and his works have aired internationally on the radio.  He has conducted the Danish Radio Girls Choir on international television as well as Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in the Royal Danish Radio House while living and studying in Denmark.  He brings with him more than just high accolades; he loves working with people new to music to spread the love of the art form and to ultimately enhance the spiritual life of every person that music can touch.
